make sure you don't have anything running in the backround, Close all Applications...(even anti- virus)

Ctrl-Alt-Delete close all>> *Except Explorer and Systray.

Or you can control your own start up Apps by Clicking Start, Run, type msconfig and click the Start up tab, so you won't have to close all apps using End task, This is for Win 98 and above.

you should be ok now, sounds like a Resource error.
