I had this problem too - but is easy to sort out. In the options menu, you probably changed a setting to LAN only in the network section or something. Well dont - change it to Internet and LAN setting (the top option) and then you can go to multiiplayer and select LAN. That is a serious fault on Westwoods part - cos it does that with the original CD as well!!
