It takes two things for a perfect 1:1 copy:
a)hardware
b)Software
Older burners have problems with buffer overruns which cause errors during either the image creation or the cd creation...to conquere this many companies such as Acer (my preference) have created technologies that deal with this specific issue. The reason I like Acer is that their "Seamless Link" is built in to their firmware rather than it being an additional software that is separate...and it is fully successful.
Second, programs like CloneCd deal with the issue by utilizing systems like "Seamless Link" to do a RAW burn of one type or another which will create a perfect image...Now the big question...do you have a burner that will use RAW and do you have software such as CloneCd? I have tried BlindSuite and CDRWin but I didn't like them...Clone Cd, especially the newest version works like a charm and is very simple to use. Go to their website at www.elaborate-bytes.com and take a peak at the cd burner list to see how yours will perform. They have recently updated the list...well sorta and it is relatively accurate. Good Luck!!
