I remember years ago for video in the US you could buy a VCR that would play both PAL and NTSC video. Does such a thing exist for DVD players? Can you get a stand alone DVD player to play all regions? If a converter cost $300 I might as well just buy a new DVD player. Buy a PAL TV? There must be a better way then that. If anyone remembers the audio DAT format there was copy protection in the consumer models but you could spend a little more and get a pro model that ignored the copy protection codes. Anything like that with DVD?
