I can answer it as well.
what he used was a RGB cable (psx and ps2 cables are compatible).
in the system configuration under "component video out", you have to switch from "Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr" (component video, not used in europe) to "RGB".
all PAL and NTSC games will work in full color then, and in MUCH sharper quality than with the original composite cable too.
that doesn't apply to US TVs, as they don't have RGB inputs.
btw, stevem, I don't think he meant it sarcastic.. it's just rare that people actually report back when they solved problems, and how they did it.
