Just to add to what's already been said: no, this won't work. A standard CD player can't read DVD media at all, since DVDs use a shorter-wavelength laser and denser data tracks than CD players are built to read
. Audio CDs also use a completely different data format (Red Book) than DVDs. If you want discs that play in regular CD players, car stereos, and hi-fi systems, you'll need to use your CD-Rs. Save the DVD-Rs for data backups or video.
