If you are a beginner, I recommend you start with installers and compressors that are not too demanding on you.
Try starting with compression tool
DiskSpan GUI along with one of the
compatible installers.
For a basic installer, I recommend starting with:
-
Light Installer Script (LIS)
-
Advanced Simple Installer Script (ASIS).
P.S: ASIS has more extra features and can be more complex to understand.
