Do not use the 1.04c D2 exe crack. The one that works is the 1.04b crack from LordCrass. You can even patch D2 to 1.04c or 1.04b and it works. LordCrass even made the file smaller with no ill effects. Remember though this crack will not work over BNET. Thanks again LordCrass
