I suppose so, I've managed to add any compressors I've needed to my tiny compressor installs so far, and I haven't encountered any issues other than making sure my options/arguments/commands for the compressor in question are correct. Give LIS a shot, its pretty clean and has most of the newer compressors.
I would also recommend the Razor's WPI Installer, you can modified it according to your liking.
