Use old
Opera 12.18, the last non-Chrome release from 2016. It installs to less than 30 megabytes and it spares CPU and RAM. Be prepared that it may not work with some sites - lots of scripting slows it down to a crawl, sometimes it crashes entirely - and it may require careful configuration - it prefers safety to user experience. It doesn't play most videos, e.g. YouTube. I still use it as my primary browser because I couldn't get to like Firefox much and I especially loathe Chrome.
