Anyone who knows,

Plz help I need to backup my final fantasy VIII discs but I can't seem to get nero to burn at 1x or read at 1x the slowest it will read is 40x and the slowest it will write is 2x I have a Dimond Data 40x CD-Rom and my Burner is an ACER 8x4x32 plz any help would be great!
