the main one that causes this is srep & arc (when storing) , most of the others doesn't take much of ur hard disk usage .. For me i noticed that windows 7 didn't stuck with u as much as windows 8\10 (even if the hard usage if extreme , it didn't stuck , on the other hand w8.1 \10 stuck & goes crazy

BTW , u should have a good hard desk with a good write & read speed that will solve u the problem from its roots
