I have the original of FF9 and it works fine no probs with the FMV's
Before I bought it I borrowed it from the video shop and the cd's were scratched this caused problems with the FMV's to either jump, stick or skip. This could be your problem if your cd is scratched or if you have copied a scratched cd.
