Question Problem creating Biolab image (protectCD)

I want to back-up the game BIOLAB (from Heureka-Klett) on Harddisk, in order to play it from HD without CD, because the CD/DVD-drive noise is very annoying.
According to ClonyXXL the protection is protectCD V3.0.
I tried to create an image and mount it on a virtual drive using Alcohol120. It seems that the protection uses subchannel data and DPM.
When I try to play the game from the image I get the error message "Disk is not original".
It seems that DPM are not properly copied into the image;
I tried several different CD/DVD-drives (all supporting DAO mode), but Alcohol120 always says "this drive does not support DPM reading". Is there any solution for this? If not, do you know some CD/DVD-drive available supporting DPM reading?

In the meantime I found out that DPM reading of other (non-protected) CDs with my CD/DVD-drive is working fine, so the problem seems not to be the drive but the protected CD itself. Does anyone have experienced the same problem with DPM reading, or managed successfully to create an image of protectCD V3 (or higher version) CDs?
