Copyright protection on PSX games is called Libcrypt and with most games that contain it then it only appears once, hence alot of the protection fixes work first time.

But as in the case of Tarzan (and a few others) the first released patch got round the first Libcrypt protection point but at level 5 another protection point was encountered and the game failed.

The second protection point was not catered for in the protection fix, and i think that this is also the case with Need For speed porsche 2000.

The guys that produce the patches for the PSX games do a marvelous job but bare in mind that the game has to be booted and run to some degree to find the/any protection that the game may hold. So if the game has multiple Libcrypt protection at different levels then the game has to be played right through to find them before a protection fix/patch can be written.

Respect those guys.
