Do you have a mod-chip installed in your US NTSC PS2? That will be necessary so that the boot regime installed in the US PS2 can be complied with prior to your swapping in the PAL game disk. After that, you may have issues with presentation on your TV - like PAL plays in B&W or the screen rolls. Search on the forum for PAL-NTSC issues to get the best solution.
