It is probably because your cd is dirty. You might want to set the reading speed a bit high so when it get to read the dirty section, it will somehow pass over it (with cdrwin). You might also, with clonecd, ##### the following: read subchannel data,...audio, don't report errors, fast error skip and crate cue sheet. You'll get a cue sheet and then burn it with fireburner or cdrwin.
