well i have the exact same problem with all of my games that ive burnt. they only skip once or twice on the fmvs of every game. the worst was ff8 though, it kept freezing on the fmvs.even if i read and write at 1x Speed it still skiped on the fmvs. i was using cdwin.
now a lot of people will tell you how to solve this problem but i have the best answer. they will tell you to use better media read and write slower and lots of other stuff. instead use my solution, which actually workes!! read at 8x speed with cdrwin then patch etc. but burn at half your max speed with blidwrite. blindwrite is an excellent program which excepts cdrwin cuesheets. it is extremely easy to use. now burn at half your MAX speed, in my case that is 4x speed (it doesnt let me burn at 1 or 2 because it is too slow) burn in sao cooked mode because there is no need to write in raw. now once it is done eject and play!!!! also make sure that u have the latest version of blindwrite and use darker cdrs with old model psx.
