Social Club installation was added to setup.ini, so it should've installed it right after the game... Check your social club setup and also it's place.
About the copy-paste thing..
Everytime you install social club, the values it'll add to reg key and documents are changing. Because of that, yes, you have to copy them manually, because there's no way to predict in what name it'll create folders and reg keys.
