The conversion works great for me, i installed patch 1.4 from my conversion and re-compile the conversion again. Works great! I tested several times! But try this regfix:

Download regFix, extract in your game installation folder and run. Click in Ok.
After try to install the patch. If not work, install the game from your original files and install all patches then make the conversion.
