I've tried everything I can think of but can't get my ###ne to read my backups...I've been reading a lot in these forums trying to figure out what's wrong with my ###ne but can't figure it out, so I'm hoping someone may have an answer for me. Here's the story...

I puchased a brand new ###ne and bought a ModChip for it and installed it myself so I could backup my PSX games. I had an AOpen 4x4x20 burner to burn the PSX copies with. I started burning copies with CDRWin4.0beta and Nero5 and searched the net for the settings to be used in those programs. I've burnt about 20 copies with only 2 of the games working on my machine. The 2 games that work boot every time I put them in; the other 18 will not boot at all. I get a screen that says" Please insert Playstation format disc" I've tried to copy the same games again that do work in my machine but I can't get them to work. I tried with 4 different brands of cdr's and the ones that are working are just cheapy "GAT" cdr's. Although, all the 'coasters' I've made I gave to a friend to try on his older model Playstation Machine with a ModChip in it and they all worked on his. So I figured it was my burner not burning good so I just bought a brand new Plextor 12/10/32A and the first disk I copied worked. I've tried another 4 more with no success. But these 4 do work on my friend's older PS machine. I've searched the groups for this problem but couldn't find an answer. I don't believe it's the ModChip because it always works with the 3 games I have copied; but will not work with different copies of the same 3 games copied on the same cdr media. I'm totally frustrated and at a my witts end. I'm hoping someone may have come across this problem before or can give me a hand to identify the problem and provide me with a way to fix it.
