I have Windows 7x64 and game run. Like
pokopo says, theres some FIX that work but one does not play the movies on the hdd, the other one (I am talking the fixes posted on GameCopyWorld) play movies but sound does not work.
The .exe that comes on the CD play the movies but only whit the CD on; just like
pokopo show on his post.
I am trying to do it by my self but the only knowledge i have on the subject is make some batch; that is nothing compare whit cracking games.
The tool i am trying to learn is W32Dasm but i guess it is too old for mine OS and processor cause some lines of the ResidentEvil.exe are extrange characters. Have google about it and everybody says that i should change the font; however, have change it many times and same lines still showing on that extrange characters.
The far i can make it is that on the cracked ResidentEvi.exe the patch ":\Hoor\USA\etc" has been modified starting from "usa\etc". On that base i assume that on the original RE.exe (That have videos and sound) i should erase all ":\Hoor\" part and it will work! But no ... It does not work like i try. After deleting that part of the patch the .exe does not run, it says that it have crashed and wont start hahahahaha.
So yes, i need help. How to delete that patch whitout breaking something?
