Well the best software available at the moment is either CDCLone (if you writer is 100% compatable) or CDRWin, but remember at present the is NO software available for ripping the DVD PS2 games even if you could afford a DVD writter!

Yes you will need a mod chip but this will depend on what region your PS2 is!
