Claims without facts to back them up are called "opinions" and they are part of free speech which we do support on this forum. You have your own opinion (you haven't backed up
your claims with fact!) which is also fine. What is
not fine is your style!
Also, as far as I can see, STN made some relevant points:
1. People who protect their executables in multiple ways may have something else to hide, too. (See malware downloads on fake warez sites for a good example. They sometimes not even get caught by virus scanners!) I'm not sure how good a fact this is but I know you know it's true: people who have nothing to hide should be trusted more than those hiding something. Let me give you an example... Ever heard of "security by obscurity" in commercial software? It does not work, it gets cracked eventually. Ever heard of "symmetric key cryptography" in open source software? It works because knowing the exact algorithm does not help you much with cracking the encryption
in a reasonable amount of time.
2. DRM sucks, for any reason, in any form. Does this even need an explanation?!
You haven't answered my post in the other thread so I don't even know which side - if sides are disjunct in this topic at all - you are on. It is, actually,
you who started flaming others in both threads (an example from the other: "these trainermakers just continues to show how pathetic they are"). We're interested in everyone's opinions but if you continue like this then you'll be banned soon!
