Hoei Sangyo in association with SCEI and Poineer, announced today that they're planning to release the 'DSR-8000dp DVD-R Duplicator,' later this month in Japan. Essentially, the system will allow licensed PlayStation2 developers the opportunity to burn multiple copies of their PS2 CD/DVD games for debugging purposes.
In conjunction with the soon to released DPM-88 software, the DSR-8000dp system will interface directly to SCEI's new generator to create multiple CD/DVD's while providing total verification of the completed masters. Game developers can now create 4 CD/DVD disc's with a single master unit, and up to 16 CD/DVD's at once by utilizing a VMI Slave unit. The unit will only be available to licensed PlayStation2 developers in Japan and America, and will retail for approximately 3,600,000 YEN ($34,344.00)
