Spooky's costing policy was spot on. Figure out what it should cost, multiply that by a factor of 4, and you have a ball park figure. These guys can make an absolute killing, BUT the good ones do an excellent job, and they allow us to make backup copies to prevent ruining our originals.
Depending on your location can also effect how easy it is to get a modchip. I'm in Australia and about a month ago the laws changed, making it illegal to install modchips. Up until then it was totally legal, and your weekend papers would always have ads for modchips. No longer. I think the quality of chip installers will probably decrease, as the smart ones will sit on their easy made fortune and be thankful that it lasted as long as it did. There is always a risk in having a modchip installed.
