Have you copied the complete DATA directory from the CD to the game installation directory? (See the crack for German v1.00 for a very detailed description.) Try previous updates (from
http://www.patches-scrolls.de) and their respective cracks (from GCW); if those work then mine should, too... in theory.
Also, make a log with Sysinternals' ProcMon and find out which file the program tries to access and, because the file does't exist, it displays the "insert CD" prompt.
In the meantime, I'll continue my experiment with dynAdZ's mini image...
