The disc check routine is 100% identical in both files and i fixed them both times the same way.
Make a list of the files on the The Sands of Time disc, so i can see what files or folders you have to copy from the disc to hdd.
You can also use Process Monitor and send me the log (in .csv format) that was made while you started the game with original .exe and disc in drive.
