I need a boot cd so i can play backups and imports without putting in a chip into my psx.
Is there any place that i can download it?
Sorry Carl.

Your going to have to put a chip in your PSX regardless due to the fact that original PSX disc's are pressed with extra information on the inner limits of the CD which the PSX #####s for on boot up. No burner is physicaly capable of reading this info and thats the hole idea behind the chip to simulate that ##### when booting a backup/import.

I presume your talking in relation to the ###ne when you mentioned imports. Well the boot disc is only required for imports because Sony have changed the bios chip in the ###ne to reflect only the region it is intended for use in. The older PSX's had a multi region bios so there was no problem with running imports, but you would still require an NTSC to PAL selector to change the screen format.
