As most KotOR 2 players may know, the earlier versions of the game had some serious bugs with swoop racing.
What happened was that, just after the light goes green and the race starts, the bike suddenly jumps and keeps floating high over the ground, and that way it's impossible to win any race. And even if that didn't happen, sometimes after finishing the race the judge tells you that "you crashed".
Fortunately, this was solved on a later patch of the game.
But it's not over. It seems that the crack for the 1.0b version still contains that bug and some others. If i use the cracked executable i experience all those bugs again, but if i replace it with the original executable and use my original CD, there are no bugs. I have tested it.
But, i'm using the spanish version of the game (it has all the texts translated into spanish, but the voices and the bink videos are the same, only that they have subtitles in spanish). I have to use exclusive updates for the spanish version. May it be possible that the crack for the updated english version (it says so on the downloads section) is not really compatible with the updated spanish version?
Someone with the updated english versions please tell me if he's having any trouble with the crack as well. If not, maybe i should find and english version and keep my original copy of the game as justification
