I have a PS2 and a NEO2 chip!

The Neo2 chip is a bitch to fit, but I know a man by the name of Funkie that will do such a fitting, also supplying the Chip and a capacitor to make sure the laser doesn't drop power due to the fitted chip!

U can find him on www.backburner.f2s.com.

The NEO2 chip allows you to play Backups/Imports of PS2 games as long as you own an Action Replay 2 card. With the new type PS2 having been released, the AR2 v1.3 will not work with it. Version 1.4 of the Action Replay 2 card should bypass this problem, but it has not been released yet. The Neo3 chip is being developed by Paul from PlayStationMods and this chip will not be released until it is a non-swap-trick chip for PSx and PS2 games. The PSx emulator in the PS2 will play backups, but originals have to be booted by holding the reset for 1 second. No hardship there really!

PS2 originals boot as normal.

You would be waiting round a long time for the NEO3, as the task is an exceptional one!

I hope this information is of use to you. Most of this I've written into our website anyway!
