But how is the cd gonna actually 'know' that u r reading it? I mean in the psx a laser runs over the disc like a pc, i mean if the playstation does detect it as a copy then it could well be possible, but it will probably be able to be patched like most of the other protected psx games, we'll just have to wait and see.

It'd be interesting if u could tell us the name of the footy game, just so that when it comes out i could go and buy it and make a backup to see whether their statement was true. I'd honestly just go out and buy the game to see how dramatic the affect actually was.
