Look, I was just going to permban the original poster but then I thought, hell, he might be up to something good (don't ask me what!) and it might cast a bad shadow on the forum's image when a moderator acts unfoundedly. But, please, be my guest with the banstick.
As for the proposed rule, it's fine but it's enforceable only if you can define
exactly what virus/trojan/malware is. (Otherwise how can you explain the reasons for your actions?!) And, since even in this case we only have grave suspicions and VirusTotal also gives inconclusive results, we can
not define malware exactly. However, it might be a good idea to delete such suspicious links on sight, without any notification or, perhaps, a warning; if the poster tries again (in another first post), permban without any second thoughts.
