There's a long thread talking about on-line activation when Mass Effect came out.
In that thread, the mods defined along with the administration that GCW won't hosts any on-line activation game.
Although (you may search anywhere) crack groups are reducing the number of cracks released for on-line activation mainly games because that's a "countermeasure" for pirates and day-by-day the PC is becoming a casual-game-platform while many big tittles are heading only to consoles.
Other titles that uses old-fashion protection (requires DVD on drive always), get cracks more easily.
When you see a game with a new update and after 6 months there's no crack for it, means the group/person responsible for the crack lost interest in the game or stop playing the game. Some cracks reaches the public years after the last update.
Again, if the crack exists, GCW or GameFix will host them. And don't worry because GCW and GameFix has a lot of contributors to send those files.

And in the past they never lost interest in any game? It is just since few months that it is impossible to find (or almost) update fixes.
