It is a bug related to user profiles.
Go to
\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles
or
\Users\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles
(for Vista)
Create a text file, type the name of your profile and save it as "active.txt" in "profiles" folder. Also, in "profiles" folder, create a new folder named exactly as your profile name.
E.g. if you want your profile to be called "Lolercoaster", you should have a folder named
\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles\Lolercoast er
and a file named
\Documents and Settings\<user name>\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\players\profiles\active.txt
which contains the line Lolercoaster in it.
