I can ultimately only speak for myself and I have purchased every game I hold since the mid-80's (Bard's Tale III and Ultima V being the first ones). I rely on sites like GCW to let me play the games I purchase (see here on why CD-checks are a problem for legitimate users) and, since the advent of Starforce and similarly aggressive DRM, I now check GCW before purchasing any new game. No crack = no purchase - unless the game is already check/DRM-free. |
