EA is like the waves in the sea: one day they say something and the next day the say it has been a misunderstood from the previous statement and emend it.
You never know when they words will last.
it's up to you: if you want to play their games you will have to accept their rules. just like members in this forum must accept some rules (which doesn't mean they must follow/obey).
I have my old games and for them I use a Virtual Machine (DOS/Win3.11, Win98). if I want to play some old games in Windows XP I have to play with the Application Compatibility and use a little help from a program called W512MB.EXE to fill the memory (512MB each time it runs) so the game won't crash when trying to find how much memory the PC has.
