I think you are experiencing that problem because you are using that nocd crack that was released resently. I'm almost at the end of the game and haven't experienced anything like this, that is until i tried that nocd crack (Hey, I hoped that I could play without having the dvd in the drive), then I suddenly got that thing that you are describing. So my advise to you is, uninstall without deleting your savegames and reinstall and play without the crack, or you can try and mount a "Cough" "cough" mini image... That's it I'm not saying anymore (I don't wanna be banned)
