I remember making a NoCD for the 1.4 patch for this, you just copied the contents of the FF7\DATA\MOVIES\ folders from all 3 CD's into the games DATA folder and copied over the NoCD, no registry tweaks for me
I also think you had to run the ff7.exe in 'win95' compatibility mode too!
