@simdude: There were times when some software didn't load its components at all on my C64. Then I realized that it expected the disk drive to have device number 8, while mine was set to 9. "Not at all" in this case was equivalent to "not with some configuration setting".
Crackers obviously don't release cracks that don't work at all. And, again, don't whine if something that you got for free doesn't work as expected; instead, be grateful when it does.
