There is a fix by EA / Bright Future. They released a new .exe a couple of days ago that should avoid the crash / black screen.
Just look at fm07.de and the first news item contains a link.
I don't know if I'm allowed to direct link the file or if it even works with a non-german version of the game.
But it's an official file for all customers of the game so please delete the link if it's not allowed:
