um yeah i got the same thing as this sam kid when i start up doom 3 it comes up with the "ERROR: wrong game DLL API version" and when i installed the game update it fucked up the graphics in the game, im i dont know if it has something to do with the fact that im running on vista or if its something els. also it keeps trying to run on openGL when it should run on DirectX. so i dont know what to do
