@Bl1nd: Excuse me for my ignorance if I say I don't give a shit about the opinion of a person who has had less than a dozen posts on this forum. You might be a lurker, though... but I assume not because you obviously know very little about how this forum works.
The forum rules evolved for several years, upon suggestions from several (senior!) forum members. (See the history at the bottom of the forum rules post.) As for you not agreeing with them, well, we can live with that. As Asian resellers are doing fishy business - most are downright illegal and only a few are legal (if they are legal at all, selling games and/or CD-keys/serials at a fraction of the original price; does the publisher know about that?!) - we cannot and will not waste time on finding out whether a particular person's particular copy is legal or not. (Remember that you can buy very legal-looking copies of software on flea markets, too! These are the "commercial" pirates that the industry should really be looking after, not "casual" pirates, people who borrow/lend games from/to the neighbor.)
As cracks are still a grey area from the law's point of view, GameCopyWorld and this forum is dancing on the edge of the razor. Therefore, the the forum rules have to not only protect forum users from abuse of other forum users but also the site and the forum itself from abuse of gaming companies. This is the ultimate reason for the very strict forum rules.
If you have reasonable suggestions for changes, contact me; otherwise obey the current set of rules. This discussion is not only off-topic in this thread but also very close to discussing actual warez; if it continues, the thread will be closed.
(Anyone noted that neither I nor the forum rules say that you're not allowed to USE warez, only not allowed to DISCUSS warez?)
