ok i tested a little bit. I installed bioshock with newes daemon tools and newest yasu. At the end of the setup the patcher is started. When you click anything now to download the patch the install will be removed again. so i tried again an before i clicked to start the patcher i renamed my bioshock folder this time. The patcher gave me this error message again but setup couldn't delete the install because the directory was renamed:P
But my Installation had no executable. I looked for the patcher executable on the dvd image to try to get it to work manually but it didn't work. But i noticed that the description of the patcher executable said 'SecuROM EXE Downloader'. The patcher is not a real patcher it only downloads the original game executable.
I looked for the bioshock.exe on the internet and tried one that came with some fake crack. I was lucky because it seems to be the original bioshock.exe. I started it and the game said that it needs to be activated online and asked for a key. I just entered a few numbers and wanted to see what happens. I got an error message because the key was wrong but a new window came up with an offline Activation option=) I clicked it and it gave me a code for activation via telephone:P
That means that we only need a keygen that generates a key from the activation code and the game scould run fine without any dvd or image.
