2.13 is only available, right now, through an in-game download. Once Beyond the Sword is released, the patch (which patches vanilla Civ IV and Warlords automatically) will be available as a seperate download from the site.
The "on-line"" play I refered to is PBEM's (Play by Emails) and PitBoss games, which are played on individual servers(PC's that people have set up to run a game)
So, I can't play any of those games in which the PBEM or PitBoss server is running the latest patch with installing said patch myself.
I can play right now with the patch as long as I have the CD inserted. And that's ok, for now. I'd just like to be able to put the CD away, in a safe place. I accidently broke my Civ III Conquests CD.
