Unless you are doing something very strange, then it is because your CD writer is incompatible with CDRwin. Everything will appear fine, but you'll just get a CD with one unplayable CDA track on it. It's what happened to me before I changed CD writers anyway... everytime.
If that's not an option, here's what to do (if you have or can get Nero - it works with far more CD Writers)
1: Make your image as normal in CDRwin. Even if your writer doesn't work with CDRwin, chances are you can still read OK into CDRwin using it.
2: Use PPF-O-Matic to patch as normal.
3: You can safely delete the .cue file now, you won't be needing it anymore, it's just to tell CDRwin where everything has to go on the CD
4: Open Nero, and select File -> Burn Image
5: Select the .bin file that you made with CDRwin. Nero will tell you that is a foreign image file, just click OK.
6: When the data type box comes up, select the data type as mode2. The number of sectors should be set automatically. If it's not, then set it to 2352 sectors.
7: Set the writing speed to 2x, and click burn. Wait 30 - 45 mins, and you'll have a perfectly working backup, assuming the patch is OK..... :-)
Hope that helps!!!!
