Well, just for the record, Skies of Arcadia had many copy protections in their code... the ECH people cracked them and added the "on-the-fly-decompressor" to fit the whole discs.

So probably just a simple binhack'ing won't work for Skies of Arcadia, unless you also crack the protections.
