Hello everyone! I have been browsing this forum for a while and just now decided to make my first post! I was reading the thread on BF2142 no cd/dvd work arounds, and I found that the Virtual CD v. 8 way worked for me (nothing else did). Anyways I built a new computer and during the process broke my bf2142 disc. It wouldn't have been a prob since I had a full image of it on Virtual cd v.8 but since I was building a new rig I would have to re-install. Also during this time the 1.2 patch came out.
Well I finally built my new rig (C2D 2 gig ram and 8800gts!!!) and bought a new copy of BF2142. But when I try the same method of no dvd play I get the "no cd in drive" error. I used the settings outlined by some of the members (which had worked in the past). What can I do now? I want to play without my DVD. Right now I have to play with it
