Are both updates needed? Are they only incremental updates? Isnt 1.12 a 'full' update?

Are both NoCD cracks really necessary? Wouldnt you just be able to use the 1.12 NoCD crack once you have installed both updates?
Or are different files needed from both NoCD cracks?
As I said I dont have the game but just want the conversion to be easily understood.
