Do you NEED to extract the SS when backing up a 360 game??
Is it necessary to extract the Security Sectors (SS) when backing up an Xbox 360 game from my original disc? Or can I just extract the DVD to an image in Nero. I have made a copy of my backups that a friend made for me (FROM MY OWN ORIGINAL GAMES) and to back that up all I needed to do was open nero, choose to "copy DVD" and then copy it to an image file, they I just burnt the image to a DVD Dual layer disc.
Can I just do it this way or is it a much longer process for backing up one of MY ORIGINAL GAMES. So far all I have done is create a backup of a backup OF MY ORIGINAL GAME and then i DESTROYED the first backup, the reason for doing this was to put it onto a different media type.
I hope that is clear what I am after but if you need any more info to help me just let me know.
JUST WANTED TO ADD I ALREADY HAVE A DVD DRIVE IN MY COMPUTER WITH THE CORRECT FIRMWARE THAT ALLOWS IT TO READ AN ORIGINAL XBOX 360 DISC...So can I just put it in and create the image, then burn that to a blank disc? This method works when I created a backup of a backup (which i explained above that i destroyed the first backup so only have one now).
Regards,
Daniel
